I'm sure you have heard of "The Secret" and maybe even read the book or watched the film.
The book was first brought to my attention a year ago, at a point when i was in a dark place. Certain areas in my life were spiralling out of control and things just seemed to be getting worse and worse.
An old family friend introduced me to this "amazing" book she had recently read. When she described it to me i thought it sounded a little to amazing to be true, but at the same time it was something i kind of wanted to believe in because at that point in my life, i needed a sense of direction. I needed some hope.
Straight away i went out and purchased the book. Events and incidents that i have been blessed to experience in my life have led to me being a very open minded person, so i was fully ready to embrace the information contained within this book.
I got through the first few pages and i was gripped, the book, the words, the quotes, the stories - everything fully opened my eyes to what seemed like a whole new world. Instantly i was amazed by something I'd known nothing about called, The Law of Attraction.
I began to put into practice the works of this "secret." I realized that i had to get in a better frame of mind and i knew that the best way to do this was by expressing something which is regularly talked about in the book, and the key to keeping you in the correct frame of mind is "Gratitude". Although i had debts flying at me from all directions, i was depressed and my relationship seemed to be sinking, i realised that i had a lot to be grateful for, as do we all.
I was taking so much for granted, things that seem basic to me some people are not fortunate enough to have, things that i don't know what i would do with out. As i began to express gratitude for what i do have in my life i started to feel a lot more optimistic about my future and my current situation. I started to feel a lot more positive within myself and stopped focusing on negative areas in my life and began to focus on what sort of life i wanted to create.
A lot has changed for me since then, I'm at a point in my life where back then i didn't ever imagine i would be. My mind is free from all the negative baggage that i was carrying around with me. I don't worry about things anymore and only focus on the positive. My relationship with my partner is so much stronger, i started my own business from home and i just feel so much happier within myself.
But up until a couple of weeks ago i realized that "Believing in the law does not mean you are really using it." And it was true - i wasn't. Yes a lot had changed in my life but i was not practicing the law the way i should be, i was not living by it. And i had to ask myself - Why? It's not a law that requires you to change who you are, or what you believe. It's a law that shows you how to be happy, to have freedom of life. A law that helps you to discover who you really are and how to have and live the life that God meant for you. The life that is already yours.
So really i have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
So for the past couple of weeks i have been living and breathing The Law of Attraction. The discoveries that i have made and the information that i have helped flow in my direction are what led me to create this blog. I want a place to be able to share my knowledge with others and the further discoveries that i make. The most important thing i want to attract is freedom of life. Not entirely in terms of wealth, but to just have total peace of mind. To discover more about the Universe and how it works. To escape the current reality trap and uncover a world that i have had my eyes closed to for the whole of my life.
Like Swami Vivekananda said ~ "All the powers in the universe are already ours.
It is we that have put our hands before our eyes
and cry that it is dark.
